SSE Riga Mentor Club

REA Mentoru klubs (SSE Riga Mentor Club) was established by the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga) and its graduates in the autumn of 2007. Since then the organization has been run to provide mentoring support to companies in Latvia. SSE Riga Mentor Club members are alumni, who are currently successful entrepreneurs and managers in the business sector. In this way the SSE Riga Mentor Club mobilizes high class business knowledge and experience that is further disseminated for the benefit of the development of entrepreneurship in Latvia.

The objective
The objective is provide high quality free of charge mentoring support to companies in Latvia

Mentors
Mentors of the SSE Riga Mentor Club are those SSE Riga alumni, who have gained significant business and management experience. Currently they are recognized as successful experts in various business areas such as finance, venture capital management, marketing, advertisement, PR, ICT, IT, sales, consultancy, production etc.

Business Mentoring programme
The SSE Riga Mentor Club provides mentoring support to companies with growth potential that have the ambition to pursue their business development. Mentoring includes help from a business person who has been there and done it already and who have a highly developed sense of business. Business mentors support companies with practical management and business advice, consultation, feedback on various business development scenarios, contacts, options for solutions etc. Mentoring support provided by the SSE Riga Mentor Club is a great way to advance business thinking.

The SSE Riga Mentor Club organizes up to 10 meetings a year. During the meetings mentors discuss specific up-to-date business issues and follow the presentations of the companies that have been granted business mentoring support. The presentations proceed with discussions for mentors to analyze the business cases and possible development opportunities. Resulting from the discussions, a company is matched with a mentor.
