Executive MBA

The Stockholm School of Economics Executive MBA program has been ranked by the Financial Times as 1st in the Nordic and Baltic regions and 19th in Europe, in the global Financial Times ranking of the 95 top Executive MBA programs (Financial Times EMBA rankings 2009). The Executive MBA program offered in the SSE Riga combines focus on intellectual rigor with serious business training in a format that permits business executives to continue their studies while working. 

With the successful launch of the professional two-year Executive MBA Program in 2002, thanks to the support of the Nordic Investment Bank, the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga has made the SSE Riga educational experience available to a new group of students; experienced executives and professionals who would like to get a breadth of knowledge across the various disciplines of business and management.

The programme offers a state-of-the-art education that will provide the students with the knowledge, analytical skills, confidence and language to add value to their career development, their organisations and the community. The EMBA classes are comprised of no more than 25 students with various academic and professional backgrounds and who both can contribute and benefit from the programme through its unique experience of group synergy. The programme is designed to allow the students to balance career, family and studies during two years of intensive EMBA studies. The class meets once a month for an intensive four days (Wednesday morning to Saturday evening) module led by the programme’s international faculty members dedicated to student-centred learning. In addition, the programme includes a transcontinental study trip as well as a module which takes place in Sweden. During the SSE Riga EMBA programme the students will get contacts with like-minded individuals that will last a lifetime. As an SSE Riga Alumna/Alumnus the graduate will join the network of SSE Riga Alumni and the even wider network of Stockholm School of Economics Alumni – an extensive network of more than 12,000 graduates in leading positions in business and government spread across the globe.
